yesterday was a bit rough for me: dealing with a passive-aggressive battle-ax, and an inconsiderate home-bound who wasn't home, so when I got home I set out stuff to make spagetti, but didn't get around to it. when Chav came home, he just started making it...it really is the little things that make being married so GREAT. Chavis does little things all the time that make me LOVE being married to him.
#1-he listens to me talk/rant about my day EVERYDAY
#2-he rarely gets mad at me for my unreasonable road rage
#3-he gets the mail everyday on his way home from work
#4-the fact he is DETERMINED to be able to provide for our family
#5-he finally realized he doesn't want to be an old dad and is warming up to the idea of starting a family
#6-he trusts me with our money, and would never tell me I could't buy something
#7-he comes coupon shopping with me, even though he gets so embarrassed when the people behind us
have to wait :)
#8-he asks me to pick out his clothes ( :
#9-the way he rolls his eyes when I give him a cheezy smile
#10-the way he says, "you're so damn weird" after he's just done the WEIRDEST thing :)
Being married is the BEST part of my life...getting to come home from work and be with Chavis is the highlight of my day.

I really can't believe that may is almost here! this year has gone by so fast!!! We'll be done with another semester in just 2 weeks..and then I get a 5 day break before starting into the RN-BSN program at SUU. I will admit, i'm a little nervous seing as how we have 3 classes this summer..each is 3 weeks long, and we meet ONCE a week! that means we have to cover 45 hours of class in 3 days : D YES, i know i'm going to be busy.
And, as if I haven't spread myself oober thin already...the pisces in me has been longing for the water, so I decided to get a job at the Washington City Center as a lifequard! My first day started at 4:55am...and ended with inservice from 8pm-10pm :( we had to do these crazy drills called "the serpitine"...and I don't know what the definition of that word actually is, but for me it meant spine bruising-ass kicking-25minute cardio workout I WASN'T prepared for. I did feel good knowing that even though I have about 5 years on the other employees that I can still hold my own....thank goodness...at 23 I think I should be in my prime!

funny thing
Chavis and I are asked all the time how we met....and frankly its all very classic. Boy meets girl, boy too shy to talk to girl, one year goes by, boy grows 1/2 a pair, girl makes the FIRST move...two years later...here we are! STILL married, and HAPPIER than ever!
Last week was our TWO anniversary, and I must say that IM SO VERY LUCKY! I have a great husband. He is my best friend: the one I live for, LAUGH WITH, dream of, LOVE.

Here's to year three.
Honestly...
I have a million and one things I coull be doing...and all I want to do is NOTHING. I better enjoy this time, because soon enough, I won't have ANY time to do nothing...and I'm not talking about a baby (unfortunately), I'm talking about starting a possibly long journey back to school!
Starting in may I am officially an SUU thunderbird! Im starting their BSN program..then we'll see how I feel after I've completed this program, and if LIFE has decided to ONCE AGAIN take over my life, and NOT go as I planned it :)
also, come MAY there will be some very exciting news to hit this blog...so stay tuned.

You're going to feel it in the morning
This weekend we went to Brian Head to go boarding with a group of friends, and we all had a blast. As of today every muscle in my body is sore..and thats part of the reason i LOVE boarding, you get a WAY better work-out than you realize.
It was Zach's 1st time boarding, and Chav's 4th...and honestly, it sickens me that they are so athletically inclined. Chav learned carve in one day, and i swear it took me over a year to be able to do that :)
Manda and I started snowboarding in highschool, so we revisited some of our foundest boarding memories, this included:
The time us and two of our friends all rode one lift and somehow as we got of the lift, we all got entangled in one-anothers' snowboards and we all ate crap!
The time I went off this kicker and for some odd reason closed my eyes and spun around-I ended landing on my head, and my biggest was concern was that i was going to get kicked off the ski-bus for not wearing a helmet!
The weather was PERFECT! It was sunny the whole day, which made the day go by so fast. We boarded from 9:30am-5:00pm. It was a blast hauling down the mountain with everyone: carving, and the occassional or frequent wiping-out (depending on who you are). I loved being back on the mountain after a two-year break.

Thanksgiving Weekend
It's that time of year again, time for my family to venture on up to Park City for the holiday!
We arrived to -1 degree weather!!! Which is a huge drop from St George, and WAY more snow!!! My parents left the pop outside while they went to the store, and when they got home this is what we found.

| Look at the car in to top of the pic We decided to have dinner at 5:30pm so we wouldn't have time to over-eat..haha |
Everyone helped get the dinner ready, which was all made from scratch.
apparently it wasn't all made from scratch; thus the plastic wrapped fork still in the salad.

Babysitting
Nov 2nd, what an eventful day for Chavis and I. Aubrie asked me to watch Trevor and Shelbie while she went to help out in Caleb's class for a couple hours. I love Aubrie's kids so I was more than willing to help her out.
The morning started off well. Trevor wanted to play dinosaurs, and it was MORE than entertaining listening to his narration.
The Long-necked dinosaur (diplodocus, per wikipedia) is fighting the other dinosaurs when one calls out:
"Send in the little dinosaur!"
The little dinosaur comes out hollaring, "Oh what?! You think I can't fight like a man!" and then delivers a swift kick to to long necks neck!
Kids really do say the darndest things!
The late morning didnt go as well: (keep in mind, im not a parent, and I haven't babysat since I was 14)
Trevor kept telling me he was hungry, and I was trying to give him healthy snack options: cereal, cheese stick, apple sauce, etc. He told me he ate lunch at school so i didnt want to feed him anything big.
Chavis came over around 1045. Aubrie called shortly after saying there was a situation and she was trying to resolve it and would be home soon.
At 11:15 Trevor tells me, "I really think I need to go to school."
"What time does your school start?" I asked.
"11:30. My mom always drives me to the bus stop."
In my head i'm thinking 'oh sh%#'
"Oh ok, well do you have a back-pack you take?" I say calmly.
"Ya, but I think it's in my van, so are my shoes."
"Can you wear flip-flops?"
Just then we hear the garage door opens. Chavis is sitting on the couch holding Shelbie and Trevor is getting anxious. Chavis tells Trevor to go open the garage door because his mom is home.
Just as Trevor gets to the door, It swings open, and Calab busts through, "I hate school! I hate you!"
Then before I knew it, he was on the floor holding onto one of the table legs as Aubrie grabbed him from the floor and dragged him into his room. I dont recall what Caleb yelled for the next minute, but once it went silent Aubrie said, "I bet he jumped through the window."
Sure enough, and he even tried to put the screen back!
Chav and I just sat there in disbelief (that such a little kid would be dare jump out his window) as Aubrie dragged him back in the house, not missing a beat.
Chavis, "Oh man, he's got the Redd temper." (HAHA, Redd, not red, that how heated things get :D)

Honestly Aubrie is the best mom! I'm so glad she trusts me enough to watch her children, and while I feel bad she had such a rough day, it was quite entertaining for Chavis and I; not to mention an eye-opener for our future.
Oh, and it turns out..trev doesnt eat at school and it doesnt start at 11:30..haha
