bump update :)

15 weeks

18 weeks

19 weeks
It's starting to become more apparent that I am pregnant and not just lugging around a "beer belly," and that is reassuring. I am so happy as I see my belly get bigger, I know that Knox is getting bigger too :)

It's a . . .

BOY!!

Baby Knox is due September 15th and we cannot wait for our little guy to get here!

Thanks Aubrie, for taking these pictures for us!!

1) his package
 2) full body shot
3) side-view, spine is most visible
4) another face shot with both hands up
5) package
6) package

The ultrasound tech informed us that he is 112% boy! He was proud and willing to show his goods, so she took images of them at every angle, haha.

As I mentioned earlier, Chav was convinced it was a girl, so when "and that's a penis," was said Chav's face just lit up!

This one is amazing to me, he is looking right at the camera :)

heartburn and a bump

March 25, 2013

Here is how I attempted to plan out my life:

Go to graduate school, THEN focus on starting a family.

How my life has played out:

- 2nd day of class = positive pregnancy test
- week 6 = start of nausea and dry heaving = full week off work
- week 10 = 1st Dr's appointment, baby measuring right on schedule
- week 14 = check-up, baby's heart rate 154. Chavis is convinced we are having a girl

The conversation went something like this, "If I am able to get pregnant, I probably won't do graduate school so I can focus on being a Mom." So naturally, the 2nd day of class- I would receive the MOST EXCITING news ever!! Deciding to withdraw from graduate school was still a hard decision because the program I had chosen was well organized and I was doing very well, but by February I knew that the best option for our family would be for me to enjoy my pregnancy and focus on the wonderful career I have already achieved.

week 6

week 7
week 9

week 10
So far we eat Little Caesar's Pizza at least once/week because it always sounds good! :)

I realize most people will laugh that I took these early "belly bump" pictures, but I have felt like I've had a bump since week 6...regardless if anyone could tell or not.

2013

I cannot believe another year has come and gone.

My heart is so full of gratitude as we start this new year. Everyday I wake up knowing that I am more blessed than I could ever deserve. In the past year Chavis and I have strengthened our relationship to where I hope it always to be. I never realized I could love him more today than I did when we were first married, but I do...and my love for him continues to grow everyday.

During this year my testimony has grown immensely, and while I know I need to share it more often, I am so grateful to know that this Gospel is true. It has shaped, and continues to shape me daily into the person I hope to be...and I am so grateful for another year to grow.

With every passing year, time seems to move at a faster pace...

With 2013 already underway
I just wanted to write a short post to let all of you know that you have touched our lives in some way, and we are so grateful for everyone of you in our lives.

2012 was a great year, but I'm feeling pretty confident that 2013 can beat it....
so here's to hoping!

White Christmas!

December 21-25, 2012

In annual tradition we headed to Blanding for Christmas, and just like every year we had a wonderful time! There is SO much love in that small town, and spending the holiday's there is something we look forward to every year!

On Christmas Eve we all gathered at Grandma Joey's house for dinner..

Then we watched the grand and great-grand children put on the Nativity

Here are our quilt blocks for the year...usually there is a boy and girl quilt given away, but all the grand-daughters have received one so there were two boy quilts this year (obviously I didn't get the message)...how lucky one boy was to get a hot nurse picture on his...lol

Grams hooked us up with a popcorn popper!

Grams, enjoying the Holliday company

After Grams, we headed over to David & Tammy's to play games..
everyone intensely staring at their BINGO cards.
David called out all of the sequences...and his favorite,
"N FREE"
and then he'd start laughin' at himself! haha.

The Holliday Tree

Us with our Loot...Chavis got a hunting pack that he'd been wanting,
and Me?
They got me Houndstooth hard-shell Luggage!!
(they received some substantial tips from Chav..and man does he know what I like)

THE PACK!
Christmas morning came, and what a beautiful view we had!
So glad I can say, we had a White Christmas!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

December 15, 2012

I told Chavis I wanted to get a picture of our Christmas tree since we were scrooge's last year and didn't even get one up.

Trying to get the picture, however, was another story...

I set my camera to a timer so I could get back to stand by chavis, but I have a hard time following directions because I kept standing in awkward places :)

I think it's pretty obvious we should have a tree that is TALLER than us!

Happy Holidays

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

December 11, 2012

At this point i'm at the tail-end of my laryngitis, and don't want to reschedule our party because everyone has such busy lives...so with my barely there voice we had a group of our hospital friends gather together to have breakfast for dinner and play the White Elephant Gift Exchange.
